- VW Golf has shown the world an advantagediesel

TDI Clean Diesel has set the Guinness World Record for fuel consumption among non-hybrid vehicles in the United States.
According to the results of a 16-day test run with a total length of 13,250 kilometers, the diesel Golf showed an average consumption of 2.89 liters per 100 kilometers. The cost of the used Shell fuel was $ 295 (16,879 rubles). It should be noted that the stock car was tested with Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires.
Volkswagen also holds the previous record for non-hybrid vehicles available in the United States, more specifically the 2021 Passat diesel sedan with average fuel consumption is 3.5 liters per 100 kilometers. However, the new achievement is of particular importance, as it is proof of the unprofitability of hybrid and electric vehicles, which are more expensive to operate.
